Dear Parents,
I just want to thank you for your understanding during this very difficult period for me. Some of you may know that my Mother has been very ill for a long while, and I have had to take periods of leave of absence to help to take care of her, in England. She passed away last week, and I will be attending her funeral the week after next.
This compassionate leave has been unavoidable and I would like to assure you that throughout this, I am of course as dedicated as ever to the teaching and learning of your children. I have planned all of the lessons when I haven't been here, which have been taught by my wonderful colleagues, Neli and Dan. The children's learning and pastoral care therefore, has not been affected.
I don't see any need to share this with the Year 3 children.
Thanks once again for your understanding and patience.
Kindest Regards,
Sally Williams

Learn a poem by heart
The children have each chosen a poem they like and copied it out into neat. They are going to learn the poem from memory, recite and perform the poem to the rest of the class on Thursday 30th January. However, if they find a poem they like better at home, they may choose that one.
Please practice performing the poem, speaking slowly, loudly, clearly, with expression and even actions if appropriate!

Exploring Light
We are finishing off our Science Topic of Light.
Today we explored mirrors and reflection.
I have asked the children to bring in a torch if possible, and/ or any reflective or high-vis clothing or equipment that you may have at home. We need this for Monday for an investigation, but they may bring it before and we will look after it until Monday.
Have fun learning about Light with these games:
