Lights, Camel, Action!
We are getting ready for our Christmas Show!
The children should be practicing their words at home, using clear, loud voices and lots of expression.
Please send a pen drive to school if you haven't done so already, so I can put the songs on and the children can get singing at home.
Thanks!

Times tables and Manga High
Just a little reminder that the children have a 3 times table test this Thursday, they can use hit the button to practise for this: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button
Also the children have been given their Manga High passwords as BSGC are once again joining in the challenge this year. They seemed very motivated today. Please see the information below and rise to the Challenge!https://app.mangahigh.com/assignments

What is the Mangahigh & COBIS Maths Challenge?
It's an online maths competition running between 18th November - 29th November, where all COBIS schools will compete with each other on Mangahigh's game-based learning platform. Students can play 24/7 and there is no cost to participate. The competition is a great opportunity for teachers to see the impact of digital game-based learning and offers students joyful practice with rigorous mathematics.
It's completely free to take part, and there are some fantastic prizes awarded to individual students and schools!
How do students benefit from participating?
For the competition, students earn competition points by playing curriculum-aligned maths games at any grade level at school and or/home. This gives students who have never received an academic award at school a chance to shine! Success builds on success, boosting students’ motivation to keep pushing to higher levels of understanding while playing fun maths games.

Super Swimmers!
We had another great morning at the pool! If you don't see your child's photo, it's either because they were way too fast for me to capture on camera! or because they do not have permission, according to the office, to have their photo on the blog. Please contact me if in any doubt, let me know who's missing and I will make sure I get a photo next week.

Times Tables
Good afternoon.
Today we had a 2 x tables test, the children copied their score in their Homework diary, so you will see whether your child needs to keep on practising the 2 x table.
Next Thursday 14/11/19 We will have a 5 x table test.
Please encourage your child to keep playing times table rock stars. I have set the 2x 10x and 5x tables for now and we will build on this. It helps to work on speed and accuracy, as well as being fun! There are certificates to win which we give out in assembly, when they reach a certain level.

Swimming lessons
Just to let you all know that the swimming lessons went really well today. The behaviour of the children was excellent. The monitors were fantastic, today they got to know the levels of the children and made them work really hard in the pool!
Mr Dan and I were very impressed with how quickly and efficiently the children got changed afterwards! All of the children had fun today and are looking forward to next week, along with the teachers. We ate the morning snack when we got back to school at 11:20, and will do this each week. I will take photos next week of the children who are allowed to have their photo published on the blog (social media).
PE is as usual on Friday.
